About this course
Supply Chain Management is a course developed by OCB which will allow you to learn all the aspects of the OCB-Supply Chain Management. The course is aimed at all OCB-Supply staff assigned to a managerial position. It is currently available only in English.
Members of the main target group (see section “Target audience” below) are encouraged to register for the entire course via learning-OCB (see “enrolment” section).
Other profiles interested in individual modules can access the course on a modular basis (see enrolment section). Please refer to the information on the modular approach in the sections below.
Target audience
Main target group: This course is for Supply staff assigned to a managerial position (Supply chain managers, procurement managers, warehouse managers, supply team leaders) to better understand the management of supply chain activities and processes. Mixed profiles (such as log-supply, fin-supply, etc.) and well-prepared supply officers might also benefit from this course.
Modular approach: Other Supply profiles may also benefit from taking this course through a modular approach. They could be invited to follow one or more specific modules independently, as recommended by their line and/or functional manager, and/or depending on their function. Kindly read the information below that refers to the modular approach in each section.
Validation
This course is validated for use by OCB Supply Chain staff.
Duration
Participants taking the full course are expected to commit to 36h over 5 weeks.
Modular approach: Each module can be completed within an average of 1.5h.
Learning objectives
At the end of this course, participants should be able to:
- apply the OCB Supply chain policies, processes and tools, and explain the steps, best practices & success factors,
- understand their environment as well as the OCB Supply Chain network (hubs, actors, partners, community),
- monitor and communicate transparently about the performance of the Supply Chain, with a continuous improvement mindset,
- illustrate the required soft skills of a Supply Chain Manager, and embody the CARE principles.

Modular approach: we recommend starting with the introduction (00. Start your new supply adventure) before going to any other module. This will allow you to understand the course context and content better.
Methodology
During this course, learners will have to first complete the self-paced part of the modules before joining the virtual classes.
- The self-paced part is dedicated to the explanation of the main processes and procedures related to the supply chain management. Each module includes videos, visuals and explanation on main processes, challenges, or quizzes to apply the main notions, golden rules, as well as concrete tips & tricks.
- The virtual class will be an opportunity to apply some of the concepts/tools covered in the self-paced course to specific cases, to draw parallels with the different contexts of the participants and to exchange good practices.
Modular approach: learners will only have access to the self-paced part.
Evaluation
To pass this course, learners will have to complete the self-paced part of all modules and actively participate to at least 80% of the virtual classes.
Modular approach: a module is considered as completed when the self-paced is completed at 100%.
Certification
After successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate and a digital badge awarded by MSF OCB.
Modular approach: learners will receive a digital badge for each individual module completed.
Requirements/Prerequisites
- 1 year of work experience at a managerial level within OCB- supply chain.

- Another training is available to learners to learn about Supply chain risks and resilience in healthcare. This training is recommended but not mandatory before the eSMT. It is available only in English:
Modular approach: Completion of the Supply Onboarding is required.
Enrolment
To take part in the full course (Self-paced part + virtual classes as part of a group): Access to this course is limited to participants selected by OCB after the course announcement and application via learning-OCB.
