About the course
This course will introduce you with the Security Context GeoApp which is a GIS-based tool designed to track, map, and analyze security incidents in our missions and projects.
Learners will discover how to input, visualize, and manage geolocated incident data on an interactive map. The course also covers how to use and analyse the dashboard that provide actionable insights through data analysis, helping users identify security trends, assess risks, and support decision-making in complex environments.
Target audience
The target audience for this course is :
- Responsible of Security at Mission Level (Head of Mission), Project Level (Project Coordinator) or Contributor to Mission Security Management (Logistics Coordinator)
- Staff identified to report and edit the incidents list or logbook (e.g. Assistant Head of Mission or PC, Logistician....)
Validation
This course is supported by the GIS working group and thus validated by all OCs (OCA, OCBA, OCB, OCG, OCP, WACA)Duration

Requirements/Prerequisites
Minimal ICT litteracy is required.
No mandatory requirements or prerequisits but we strongly recommend that before attending this elearning, you do follow the "Introduction to GIS" module to finetune your knowledge about GIS application usage and tools within MSF. If you want to go further you can follow directly the "GIS Essentials".
