About this onboarding
HR Managers' Onboarding is a mandatory tutored onboarding course by OCB aimed at all new HR managers, as well as at all PAM, PDM and HRCos who are new to OCB's HR department. It will introduce participants to OCB's HR vision, to the HR department roles with a special focus on the HR manager roles, and to MSF set-ups. It will also present the main HR processes and HR tools.
The course combines self-paced activities (approx. 5 hours) with a 2 hour-online session with an experienced HR referent from HQ.
Those activities take place before departure in the “induction-onboarding frame”.
A 2 hour Homere virtual class is taken separately once participants are in mission.
Target audience
All new HR managers, as well as all PAM, PDM and HRCos who are new to OCB HR department.
Validation
Validated for use by OCB HR staff.

Participants will understand OCB's HR vision, i.e. they will be able to identify:- HR roles, their distribution among HQ, coordination, and project, and
- HR manager roles and main challenges.
In a nutshell, upon course completion, participants will be able to:
- understand the logic of a classical MSF set-up and the rationale behind the choice for alternative set-ups;
- identify the main HR processes’ key steps (in administration, recruitment, induction and onboarding, and L&D);
- understand the HR software Homere specificities and be able to use correctly the essential Homere functionalities; and
- know where to find guidance and support with Homere.

Methodology
The self-paced 3 HR modules include interactive videos, quizzes and other interactive activities. The 2-hour HR virtual class will include 3 short case studies and a Q&A session.
A presentation of the Homere e-learning and a link are also included in the course.
Evaluation
Participants will need to take all activities of the 3 first modules (vision, roles and set-ups ; main processes ; main tools) and pass them with a minimum score.
Certification
A badge will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.
