Supply Coordination Course (SCC)

About the Course

The aim of the course is to help participants to develop the mission supply chain strategy and to improve their supply chain management skills.
This OCA course is face to face for any supply team members who are engaged in planning, resourcing and managing the supply chain and the implementation of the supply chain strategy. Typically, you hold a position as LogCo or Deputy LogCo in charge of supply. The course is held in English.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the process recommended to develop a mission supply strategy and outline the main causes of failure for the implementation of a strategy
  •  Evaluate existing customs practices and identify new opportunities in customs management
  • Assess procurement needs, risks and strategy options according to the mission's context.
  • Identify, prevent, detect and respond to fraud
  • Identify opportunities to improve stakeholder collaboration
  • Analyse and measure supply chain performance, and identify areas of improvement
  • Define the contingencies to enable an effective emergency response, and to take adequate supply chain actions during the response.

In addition, throughout the course an assignment will be completed by participants in pre-defined groups, this will be presented on the final training day. The assignment content builds up on the knowledge and skills gained from each module.

Methodology

The main training methods used are the following; Trainer presentations, Plenary discussions, Exercises (individual, pair and group), Cases, Group assignment.

Evaluation

  • A Pre and Post KAS (Knowledge Attitude Skills) assessment will be conducted.
  • 1-2 Realtime check-in moments will be done during the training.
  • A final course satisfaction evaluation will be done at the end of the course.
  • To pass this course learners will have to complete a group assignment.

Certification

A digital certificate and a badge is provided for completion of the course.

Requirements

Participants are expected to read a number of pre-reading materials before the course in preparation.

Enrolment

Participants are identified and invited to join the SCCC by the relevant committee responsible for professional development.
