This training looks at the importance of stories and storytelling for health promotion activities and community engagement. It is a team training that will help you and your team explore the importance of stories through theory, exercises and field work.Enrolment

Learning Objectives
- Are able to explain the process of MSF Story of Change HP Method.
- Can identify and describe what a story is, the different types of stories and their purpose.
- Can explain the value of listening and using stories as a health promotion and community engagement method.
- Create a story collection plan: objectives (WHY), target group (WHO) questions/interview (HOW),
- Can Identify community networks and key community members to spread the stories.
- Understand key components of active listening and can apply these skills in collecting stories.
- Are able to analyze a story; identifying key characters, themes, perceptions, believes and health seeking barriers and enablers experiences by the community
- How to develop a co-created story together with community members and use for the final health promotion story
- How to become a good story teller
-At the end of the training you and your team will have a final story created in collaboration with the community to be used for future health promotion activities.

- CH2: Story collecting skills and theory; active listening, understanding Health Seeking Behavior (HSB) and community networks.

- CH4: Collecting Stories in the Field; preparation, consent, recording/notes
- CH5: Transcription of Stories; Theory and Analysis of Collected Stories
- CH6: Introduction, Theory and Preparation for Co-Creating the Story
