About the course
Log generalist in charge and/or involved in co-defining and monitoring the operational response together with Medical and OPS staff.
This is a blended Learning Journey half online, half face-to-face, lasting 10 weeks in total requiring strong commitments from trainees and supporting line manager.

80 hours learning journey in total composed of:
- 9 weeks tutored online (+/- 4 hours/week)
- 1 week face-to-face (+/- 40 hours)
Learning objectives
At the end of the course, as learners, you will be able to:- understand and explain the roles of the Log in each of the four phases of a project life cycle: Analysis, Design (project strategy & roadmap), Implementation and Monitoring
- distinguish the relevant considerations for each Intervention Family.
- develop a tactical plan that meets the needs of the patients, community members and care givers while considering Contextual, Operational, Medical parameters and opportunities.

The learning journey is framed by intervention families (OPD activities, Medical and Surgical Activities in Emergencies etc…) with modules on:
- Tactical roles
- People Management
- Climate Environment and Health
- Diversity Equity and Inclusion
- Risk Management
- Emotional Intelligence
- Managing Emergencies and Epidemic Settings
- Preparing and Managing Vaccination Campaign
- Setting up and Managing Medical Infrastructure
- Take informed decisions & answer to operational needs
Methodology
This is a blended Learning Journey half online, half face-to-face lasting 10 weeks in total.
Over the online, distant part, trainees will be asked some reading, additional Tembo courses completion, complete Field Challenges and spare reflective times with peers and line managers.
The face-to-face part will mainly focus on simulation.Evaluation
Each trainee will along the journey self-assess him/herself, draft and share with his/her line manager a Personal Performance Path (PPP) development plan. A summative evaluation will complement and be performed 3 months after the end of the journey.
Formative and satisfaction evaluation will be conducted along and at the end of each module of the journey.
Certification
Badge and attendance certificate granted over 90 % of attendance and 100% of field challenges completion.

- Mandatory application and selection needed prior to enrolment
Enrolment
Only trainees having applied and having been selected to partake in OCB's SLTT can have access to this space. Enrolment is hence manual. More information on next sessions and registration at learning-ocb@brussels.msf.org
