These e-snacks are targeted to FD International Staff as part of the vPPD. Through the 5 e-snacks participants will gain an understanding of 5 key aspects of Safety and Security management.

Learning objectives

By the end of these e-snacks you should

  • Have an overview of the trends of security incidents in the humanitarian sector and in MSF OCA specifically.
  • Value the importance of preparing yourself practically and psychologically for an evacuation of your project.
  • Comprehend the risk of sexual violence against aid workers, and MSFs approach to SV case management.
  • Understand that you are able to make your own decision to accept or decline a mission where abduction has been assessed as a potential risk.
  • Outline how MSF OCA manages a Critical Incident.
  • List four ways as International Staff that you can contribute to preparedness.
