About the Course: IT services are a ubiquitous toolset providing means to communicate, access, and share information in an efficient manner. The IT technical family covers the principles, standard procedures, and protocols regarding network equipment, mobile equipment, computers, and peripherical to be set up and maintain to ensure continued and reliable IT services.
Minimum English-speaking level: B1 or fluent in French (read, written, spoken).
Participants in between missions will be expected to be fully available during training hours.
If a participant's mission ends during the course, they are expected to continue the training from home.
Participants should have internet access, a computer, a calm environment, and a personal email (non-MSF).
General Objective: The participant will be able to identify the steps to set up and maintain IT equipment and network according to OCBA procedures, using the existing tools to support users and assess a given IT management situation.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this training the participant will be able to:
Localize and identify OCBA IT policies and tools.
List the steps to keep an OCBA standard computer operational.
Identify and install OCBA standard IT peripheral devices and network equipment.
Provide direct support to field users regarding computer and network problems.
Content:
Module 1: ICT equipment and network usage.
Module 2: Set up of OCBA Standard Network.
Module 3: OCBA standard Internet Set Up.
Module 4: IT security and Data protection.
Methodology: This is an online course, combining self-study materials in Tembo and mandatory live sessions.
Certification: At the end of the course, you will receive the badge
