About the course

This course is part of the PPD Programme. The PPD General is part of the PPD Program that includes two more mandatory courses: 

  • eBehaviour (5 hours) 
  • eManaging People Performance (5 hours).

Target audience

The PPD - General - applies to Field staff having less than 3 months (recommended) of MSF experience.

Learning objectives

Program designed to prepare staff to the first destination in MSF and to support a smooth integration into field teams and the organization.

  • MSF Principles / MSF as an Association / Fundraising
  • MSF Interventions
  • Strategic Orientations / Operational Priorities / Medical and Logistical Activities in the Field / Advocacy and Operational Communication / Operational Finances´
  • People in MSF
  • Key Values and Principles / Organizing People and Teams / Diversity / Managing People Performance / Resilience and Stress Management / Behaviour
  • Security and Safety
  • Security Policy / Individual Responsibilities / Health in the Mission

Methodology

The PPD is a blended training combining Self-paced online activities and virtual Live Sessions.

Enrolment

PPD is a restricted course. The enrolment is under Human Resources Department management.

Certification

The PPD General is considered finished and participants get their certificate when some required activities are completed.
