About the Course:

The energy technical family covers principles and protocols for safe electrical installations, asset and infrastructure protection, and ensuring energy systems are adapted, cost-efficient, and fully operational for service continuity.

This training is part of the LTT program. It can also be taken as an individual course without doing the entire LTT program.

Target Group:

Activity Managers (Log & Supply Chain Managers, Log Team Leaders…) and Supervisors & Specialists (Log Specialists, Log & Supply Chain Supervisors…)

Pre-Requisites:

  • Minimum English-speaking level: B1 or fluent in French (read, written, spoken).

  • Participants in between missions will be expected to be fully available during training hours.
  • If a participant's mission ends during the course, they are expected to continue the training from home.
  • Participants should have internet access, a computer, a calm environment, and a personal email (non-MSF).
  • To have the badge of the ENERGY LEVEL 1 COURSE – TEMBO.

General Objective:

Provide the principles that need to be applied to ensure that electrical systems in MSF are safe and not hazardous for the people, protect electrical equipment and guarantee the continuity of electrical supplies.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this training the participant will be able to:

  • Identify the main challenges in MSF contexts and their impact in the continuity of the service and the risks in safety and protection.
  • Recognize the 4 priorities in setting and maintaining any MSF Electrical system.
  • Describe the different scenarios that an energy system is implemented and know your roles and responsibilities.

  • Module 1_ Introduction
  • Module 2_Power Sources
  • Module 3_Power distribution systems and protecting equipment
  • Module 4_Electrical safety

Methodology:

This is an online course, combining self-paced materials in Tembo and mandatory live sessions.

Certification:

At the end of the course, if you complete all the modules and attend the live sessions, you will receive the badge.
