About the Course

This course is an open course. All modules are activity-based, which means that you have to develop different tasks using diverse materials to finish the module successfully.

Participants need to do ALL the activities to complete each module. All modules are self-learning, which means that you can do the activities by yourself, without the support of a teacher. However, you will find open communication channels to be used in case you have doubts about doing the activities, and also for you to share your thoughts or ideas about the course.

Evaluation

If you manage to finish the course successfully you will receive a certificate that recognises and badge that you have achieved the goals and acquired the knowledge of the module. These certify your technical competencies in the HMIS Sexual Violence Programme.


Who is this course addressed to

This course is addressed to all those interested in knowing about MSF-OCBA HMIS, but especially to medical and non-medical staff working with health data such as Medco, Dep Medco, PMR, MAM, NAM, Midwife Activity Manager, Sexual Violence Activity Manager, Data encoder, Data entry or other profiles working with health and sexual violence data.

Module 1: The Sexual Violence HMIS Programme

By the end of this module you will be able to:

  • Describe the HMIS Programme for Sexual Violence
  • Identify data privacy risks
  • How to use and manage the Golden Book


Module 2: Data Collection

By the end of this module you will be able to:

  • Use HMIS Tracker Capture App
  • Enter patient data, modify patient data and correct errors
  • Schedule consultations, modify consultations and close and reopen the patient record.
  • Double enrollment of a patient.


Module 3: Data Analysis

By the end of this module students will be able to:

  • Use HMIS Pivot Table and the Data Visualiser App
  • Create tables and charts for data analysis
  • Identify the main elements for HMIS data analysis: What, when, where,
  • Use the data analysis configuration menu
  • Configure your own dashboard
