About the Course
WARNING: Before practicing triage with IITT (Interagency Integrated Triage Tool) in your project make sure IITT is the triage tool used in your project!
In this course, you will learn to prioritize patients according to the criteria proposed by the (IITT) Interagency Integrated Triage Tool within the frame of Routine Triage.
There are many different triage tools in use that are very effective if used correctly. The choice of the triage tool that is used in any given project is a decision made through the medical hierarchy.
The IITT was developed
by consensus amongst experts from both low- and high-resource settings by the
World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross and
Médecins Sans Frontières.
The IITT has been designed to create a common language to save a maximum number of lives by sorting patients. Rapidly identifying which patients need urgent care is a crucial step to an efficient patient flow that optimizes outcomes.
You will receive a certificate of completion if your score is ≥80% in the post test.
