- Recognize the 3 main syndromes of snakebite envenoming and their severity,
- Explain how to complete a rapid assessment and resuscitation in case of snakebite,
- Identify which antivenom to use, how to administrate it and how to deal with its side-effects,
- Describe the monitoring and the adverse reactions after administrating the antivenom,
- Recognize the local complications possible after snakebite,
- Explain what to do in case of accidents with a spitting cobra,
- Explain what to do when a pregnant woman is bitten by a snake.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
The module is intended for medical staff (managers and supervisors, pharmacists, nurses, medical doctors and clinical officers) working on project level in countries where snakebites are a public health issue.
HOW TO ENROL
Learner self enrolment.
CERTIFICATION
At the start of each module you will have a “before quiz” to have a better idea of what you already know and what you still need to learn. At the end of each module, you will take a quiz to test your knowledge in a more practical environment.
After completing the module and answering the final quiz with at least 80% correct responses you are entitled a Tembo completion badge and a certificate.
