AI Prompt Generation

About the course

In his self-paced eLearning from OCA you will learn techniques and useful tips for writing effective prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) such as chatbots. 
It is aimed at all MSF staff who have an MSF email account, regularly use MSF ICT resources, and are interested in knowing more about how to effectively and safely use internal and external AI tools for their day-to-day work in MSF. 
Although it is based on MSF OCA’s ICT Responsible Use Policy, the principles in it are valid and useful for staff from all sections. 

Target audience 

This course is recommended for: All Country Programme staff who regularly use MSF computers and software All Country ProgrammeStaff IRFFG 9 -15 HQ staff in all partner sections. 

Validation 

This course is validated for use by OCA staff.

Duration 

This eLearning should take about 1 hour in total. It includes a number of practical exercises that are completed by the learner outside of the module (in another browser) and can be done at the participant’s own pace. 

Learning objectives 

By the end of this eLearning you should be able to explain what LLMs (Large Language Models) are, and how you can use them to support your work. 
This course will guide you through their uses, as well as limitations and potential risks.
You will learn practical ways to make the most of these tools by formulating prompts that result in useful, relevant AI-generated outputs. 
By the end of working through all the exercises in the eLearning you should feel able to:
  • Explain the importance of effective prompts in generative AI models. ​ 
  • Create effective prompts for generative AI models. ​ 
  • Evaluate the quality of AI-generated content based on the prompts used. ​ 
  • Assess the ethical considerations and implications of using generative AI for MSF.  
  • ​Identify specific ways to use, implement, or change your practice based on the skills and knowledge gained

Methodology 

This eLearning is presented as a series of information, instructions and exercises. By working through the exercises with a LLM Chatbot, participants can experience for themselves the different results that can be obtained when inputting different types of prompts. 

Certification 

On completion of the post KAS Survey participants will receive a Tembo Badge.
