About the course
This is the Field Coordinator (FC) Learning Path, preparing candidates to respond to the unique challenges and responsibilities of managing medical humanitarian projects in the environments where MSF operates.
The path is divided along the main areas of competency of MSF Field Coordinators. Participants acquire the fundamental concepts through a series of short self-paced online courses and readings. The estimated duration for the online curriculum is around 3 months, 7 hours per week. For every participant, the curriculum will be adapted based on their professional experience.
For some candidates, the online part may be
complemented with a two-week face-to-face training in Nairobi (English) or
Dakar (French), which consolidates learned concepts by bringing together FC and
PMR candidates through case studies and simulations.
