About the Course
This
is the course unit 5 of the Fellowship in Medical Humanitarian Action: Coordination
of Pharmacy Management.
In this course unit, you will develop your competencies and skills to
coordinate pharmacy management in order to favour coherence between pharmacy
management needs and strategies through an appropriate leadership and ensuring
process and analysis quality.
Target audience
This course unit is available to all the participants to the Fellowship course of Medical Humanitarian Action.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this course unit, you will be
able to:
- Supervise pharmacy procurement and storage rules application/use and Good distribution practices (including cold chain management)
- Monitor and promote rational use management & safe medication practices
- Evaluate quality of patient therapy education (PTE)
- Negotiate with partners and headquarters (access to drugs)
- Coordinate in collaboration with Medical, Supply Chain and Logistic departments, the application of an effective policy for warehousing and transportation of medical products (Warehousing and transportation)

How to enrol
This
course unit is only available to the participants to the Fellowship course of
Medical Humanitarian Action. To be enrolled in this course, you need to be
selected by your OC. The selection is done once per year. Please contact your
pool managers, development advisors and/or HRcos.
