About the Course

This Module is part of the Outpatient Care programme organised in 9 Modules. 

Welcome to the third and final part of Module 1. 

In this third part you will be reminded of the importance and reasons for Infection Prevention and Control during a primary healthcare consultation. 

These are the learning outcomes of this Module IPC:  

• Relate microorganisms and its transmission with human disease. 
• Learn the Antimicrobial Resistance concept. 
• Learn the concept of Infection Prevention and Control. 
• Identify the different steps of the Chain of Transmission. 
• Recall the list the standard precautions.  

Content

This Module is organised in one Unit followed by an Evaluation activity. The unit is composed of different participative activities (quizzes, matching questions, open questions and others). They are divided as follows: 

• Unit 1: Anatomy and Physiology 
• Evaluation
