Managing People Performance

About the Course

Through this training students will get familiar with the Performance Management System tool of OCBA in order to be able to use it during their mission and to understand its purpose.

The modality of this course is self-learning, which means the student will work at her own pace. The course includes self-learning activities, quizzes, videos and access to resources and tools.

Evaluation

Students can take specific modules if they wish however, in order to obtain the certificate students need to achieve a score of 100% on the final quiz.

Who is this course aimed at All MSF Staff Evaluated and Evaluators.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  •  Provide examples as to why managing people performance is important for MSF.
  •  Present the objectives of managing people (get things done and develop people).
  •  Identify the formal and informal steps of the PMS cycle.
  •  Identify the roles of the supervisor and supervised in the different steps.
  •  Explain the concepts of competence levels and excellence levels in a competence.
  •  Recall of the existence of the 3 different tools: the standard tool, the simplified tool and the upward feedback.
  •  Set SMART objetives.
  •  Relate a situation to observable behaviours corresponding to a level of competency.
