About the Course
This self-paced online course by OCBA will provide to language learners who are beginners or false beginners in French, some learning resources and technologies recommended by OCBA language teachers. It is addressed to all staff that are English speakers and / or studying or want to study French on their own.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is for complete beginners (people who have never studied French and who want to start) or for false beginners (people who have already studied but have not reached the basic level called A1).
DURATION
Approximately 2 hours.
METHODOLOGY
Self-paced course.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To identify online websites and apps which support (self-directed) language learning
To explain your language level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
To contrast Babbel and Duolingo (two online courses) in supporting language learning
To evaluate the use of online dictionaries (e.g., Wordreference) for language learning
To experiment with grammar resources
To choose from language tips which best support your learning
To contrast self-learning activities which support language learning
