Nestor

About the Course

Nestor (OCB) aims at providing an overview of the NAS device deployed in MSF. After an overview of the main NAS/Nestor components, participants will learn how to monitor and perform the backup of the data. Participants will also discover the basics of virtualization. 


Target Audience

OCB Field ICT Officers and Logs in charge of IT.


Learning Objectives

Participants will learn how to:

  • start a configuration from scratch
  • keep the Nestor up to date
  • monitor the cloud sync and ask for it, if not available
  • ensure Nestor back-up is correctly done
  • explain the basics of virtualization

Methodology

Self-paced e-learning.


Evaluation

At the end of each section there are knowledge checks and, at the end of the course content, participants will complete a quiz. You need to score 80% or more in the quiz. You will only have two attempts to complete the quiz.


Certification

A badge and certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the course.


Requirements/Prerequisites

Basic IT network knowledge is needed. 


Enrolment

Enrolment key is required. Participants (identified by OCB) are contacted individually and sent an enrolment key by OCB's course coordinator.
